Work today is up in the air, as of this moment it's up to department heads if we stay throughout the day or leave early. we're not even getting phone calls.. Now THAT is strange.

There is poverty, and just like Mexicans and cubans, many poor Dominicans try to cross to Puerto Rico in large groups in boats in search of the promised land. But they do it because the guys who make these incursion fill on their heads with promises of a better life while collecting money from their pocket, money they should use to put a small store or buy goods for resale. The last story is even macabre, as some survivors had to drink blood and eat the dead.......

I wasn't aware that DR suffer those same problems. Is Puerto Rico any better? I guess any island country that has tourism as their main trade must suffer a large population of poor people.
